Ingredients before saponification: coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, shea butter, castor oil, cocoa butter, distilled water, sodium hydroxide (lye), coconut milk, white kaolin clay, annatto seed powder, essential oil blend (lemon, dark patchouli, bergamot, eucalyptus globulus)

Saponification is the chemical reaction during the soap-making process in which the building blocks of fats and oils (triglycerides) react with lye (sodium hydroxide) to form soap. The word literally means "soap making" or "turning into soap" as "sapo" is the Latin word for soap.
After saponification the soap is cured for a minimum of 4 weeks to ensure maximum water evaporation and harden the bar of soap.
